HMRC Continue Targetting Only Fans for Tax & VAT

Only Fans models appear to be back on HMRC’s radar, if they’ve ever really been off it. We saw a massive influx of cases a couple of years ago and dealt with them very successfully for our clients with whom we established good working relationships to obtain for them an excellent outcome to the HMRC investigation.

Constant TV appearances by male and female content creators keeps Only Fans in the public eye and obviously under the scrutiny of HMRC. Yes, TV celebrities are keen to tell people how much they earn from Only Fans and the sums can be astronomical. For others the fees may be low and for some not really worthwhile, but the cases we have dealt with were at reasonably high-levels ( often to the surprise of the client) many exceeding the VAT threshold.

For cases in the most serious bracket being those with high-level earnings, lengthy periods of undeclared income, any offshore connection, any collusion with third parties like managers or concealment or diversion of income into other person’s bank accounts and tax avoidance set-ups, are likely to be dealt with by the more serious arm of HMRC  under a process called Code of Practice 9 which is explained more fully on HMRC’s own website – and these are for cases of suspected fraud.

Even under COP9 you will not be prosecuted provided you enter into the process and follow the guidance fully. The offer of COP 9 is worth its weight in gold as it provides a complete immunity from prosecution provided you disclose everything and do not divert from the quite strict rules of the process.

Whilst it involves at least one meeting for you with HMRC we will prepare you fully for this. The cases can go on longer as they involve covering all relevant years where tax has been lost to the Revenue, going back to a maximum of 20 years.

We can give a fixed price for this work and handle it all for you, but when you first receive the letter it will result in panic and fear.

Call us immediately if you receive such a letter or indeed any letter from HMRC and we will endeavour to put your mind at rest by explaining the process and the experience we have in dealing with it.

You can meet with us if you wish and see if we are the right fit for you. We love our work and take pride in dealing with our clients to help them through this very difficult time, not only courteously and confidentially, but by getting to know them as people and this enables us to tailor the work to fit you and in your time as we do not treat you as merely number.

There’s nothing to be lost in giving us a ring or having a Zoom call with us and we know we can help you and provide ongoing support and technical supervision to put you on the right track for the future.
