The brown envelope sat there menacingly, I opened it and my stomach sank. Even though I knew I was straight with HMRC, I am not the best organised person in the world and the thought of going over the last six years filled me with dread. My feelings didn't change over the next six weeks; in fact they got worse, with my then-accountants going back and forth in their suits, the Revenue asking for more and more details and me digging deeper and deeper in old boxes. I now sleep peacefully at night knowing that if they do ever call, Lindsay is right behind me. Lindsay has the exceptional qualities of being fiercely protective, amazingly sharp and warm and cuddly at the same time.
